Description

M13 is one of the nicest globular clusters in northern hemisphere. Containing 300 000 to 500 000 stars, it extends over about 140 light years and is located 23000 light years away. The small faint galaxy IC4617 is also visible on this picture at the right of M13.  It is located about 500 million light years away.
